With its wooded setting this town is the loveliest of the Umbrian hill towns. Its charming atmosphere is enhanced by its superb monuments and by the yearly Festival of the Due Mondi that is held here every summer.

The town hall is the great Palazzo Antico located in the upper part of Spoleto. Wedding ceremonies are held in the elegant Pinacoteca Comunale containing many exquisite paintings of Umbrian artists.
