Destination Weddings in Lake Orta

Orta San Giulio, the pretty little town on the shore of Lake Orta is a precious pearl. The narrow streets where cars are not allowed, take you to the small square, Piazza Motta, from where you have a wonderful view of the tiny island of San Giulio…an enchanting setting that will make your photo album look even more beautiful.

The wedding hall is located in the elegant 17th century Villa Bossi, right on the lake and with private garden also available for aperitif parties. The bride may even arrive by boat enriched with flowers, and enter the villa from the iron gateway.

A romantic option is also the Matrimonio a mezzanotte (midnight wedding), which is an absolute premiere in Italy …ask us for more details.

Stroll up the hill from the main square until you reach the Sacro Monte, a flower-filled hillside dotted with 20 chapels dedicated to St. Francis, available for romantic symbolic ceremonies under the sky.

Orta offers one of the best selections of catholic churches, all with stunning views of the mountains and lake surrounded by the woods. From charming 18th century stuccoed churches to full baroque with unique altars and woodcarvings.

Most of the top class hotels enjoy views of the lake of course. The elegant San Rocco for instance, a restored monastery with great outdoor terrace directly on the water and the unique Villa Crespi a very exotic, luxurious villa with park.
