Italian Lake District WeddingsJO-ANN WALKER AND TERENCE JONES
Protestant blessing in Lakes District and Honeymoon in Italy - May 2001
We would like to give our sincere thanks for making our wedding and honeymoon such and exceptional experience.
The Villa Malpensa was very beautiful and convenient to the airport. The rooms, were very nice and we had a very enjoyable dinner there the night before we flew home.
Both of the tours were magnificent. Marilena in Florence did a wonderful job at the Uffizi gallery. She hit the high points and didn't give us too much information. She also gave us some things to consider for the rest of the day. We had a lovely walking tour of the medieval area with the narrow streets and small shops and restaurants.
Rolando and Helena were a very pleasant couple. We enjoyed their company immensely. The boat ride to Portofino and San Fruttuosa was great and we enjoyed a cappucino with them and lunch on the boat of focaccia bread and wine. It was "fabuloso!"
The dinner at the Beatrice in Florence was very nice. The waiter was very helpful and made several suggestions for our dinner.
Villa Crespi was outstanding and its elegance exceeded our expectations. The staff was very friendly and the service was superb. The housekeeping staff even went out of their way to cover Jo Ann's wedding dress with a sheet to protect it. It was hanging on the back of a door in the room and we came back from sightseeing to find it covered up. How nice of them to do that! The meals were incredible! The breakfasts were sumptuous. What marvelous pastries!
We also enjoyed our photographer Giuseppe and the wedding coordinator Philippa. They were a lot of fun and we had a great time taking pictures. We knew from the start that Giuseppe was very professional and we can't wait to see the rest of the pictures.
Thank you for connecting us with Father Gordon Reid. He was very personable and is a warm, caring man. He was perfect for the ceremony and accommodated us by reading something that Jo Ann's parents had written for our wedding. We were very touched. He knew how special that day was for us and I think he was as impressed as we were with the setting of Sacro Monte which, by the way, was incredible! The presence of Father Reid, the playing of the classical guitarist, the setting of Sacro Monte, and the presence of God in the ceremony made the day exceed our expectations in a way that is hard to describe.
Overall, our trip was very memorable. We walked the footpath between Monterosso and Vernazza on the Cinque Terre. The views were spectacular! The water below us was such a deep, rich blue...it was breathtaking. Thank you and your staff at Euroevents for making this a trip and experience that we will cherish for the rest of our lives!
Sincerely,
Terry and Jo Ann Jones
ROBERT and CAROLE CARR
Civil Wedding in Lake District - July 2000
Just a quick note to let you know that the wedding was a magical, romantic perfect day.....
Orta was the most magical beautiful place in the world.....we couldn't have asked for anything more romantic.
The ceremony went well and the villa Bossi was a lovely building and Rob and I both thought that the harpist created a fabulous atmosphere to the proceedings. The photographer seemed very artistic and we are both very much looking forward to seeing the photographs
The boat ride was lovely and the boats were waiting for us as planned. A perfect end to the afternoon.
Philliapa was a great help and really helped to calm my nerves and with the translations with the photographer and the ceremony.
All in all Rob and I and all our guests had an experience that we will never forget. I would have no hesitation in recommending your company to friends and family and I thank you for creating a truly romantic wedding day in the most stunning of settings!

Catholic Wedding in Lake District
We really cannot thank you enough for all of your hard work. We had a wonderful day and the guests were amazed by the setting and the environment. Filippa was absolutely fantastic - she has such a wonderful personality and everyone really liked her. Giuseppe was also fantastic. We can tell, even though we have not received the photographs yet, that he was very skilled and knew exactly what to do. He worked very very hard for us and it was much appreciated. The videographer also worked very hard and everyone really had very pleasant personalities and seemed very excited. Please pass these words along to them for us.
Thank you again! I will contact you once we receive the pictures and the video and let you know what we think as well.
We had the wedding of a lifetime.
Then after the receipt of the photos.......
THE PICTURES ARE INCREDIBLE!!!! I picked them up on Saturday and took them to my parent's house in San Diego and showed about 50 people them. Some of the people are "professional" photographers and were in awe of how great the photographs were. We just cannot say enough or thank you enough for coordinating the best photographer in the world!! Please pass this along to Giuseppe - he really did a wonderful, fantastic job. The photographs are extremely artistic and just really amazing. None of the people who saw the pictures have ever seen anything like them in the United States, seriously. Just Beautiful! And he knew exactly where to place us and how the lighting would affect the picture and they all just turned out soooo well. THANK YOU!!!
MRS CHRISTINE BURKEMPER WROTE AS RECOMMENDATION......
Hello Amanda!
You have picked the perfect spot for your wedding. I had about 50 people from the United States fly over to Italy and everyone loved it. All of the guests stayed at the Hotel San Rocco which is a fantastic hotel right on the water. The food is wonderful and you really cannot beat the location.
Also the Villa Crespi up the hill a little ways is incredible. The food is absolutely awesome for lack of a better word: We had our rehearsal dinner at the Villa Crespi and the wedding reception at the Hotel San Rocco. It worked out really well because after the wedding reception everyone just stumbled up to their rooms!
The other hotels in the area are also nice. The Villa Crespi and the Hotel San Rocco are the most expensive (4 star) in the area, but the others are also good accommodations and cheaper (3 star). We flew over the year before we were married to check everything out. We stayed at the Villa Crespi, Hotel San Rocco, Hotel Leon D'Oro and Hotel Orta and they were all just fine. The Leon D'Oro and the Hotel Orta were considerably cheaper, but the food was and it is all in the in the same vicinity as the others so there wasn't really a noticeable difference.
As far as the rest of the town, I have never had a bad meal anywhere and I made sure that I ate at most places at least once. There is a fantastic wine bar just off of the main square area....I think everyone spent a good four days at the bar!
Everyone flew into Malpensa and then either rented cars or had the hotel shuttle pick them up for a fee. Most people preferred the shuttle service as you do not need a car in town at all.
My husband and I also flew in to town about three days before the wedding just to make sure everything was o.k. - which it was. You will really have the wedding of a lifetime.

Wedding in the LAKE DISTRICT
I wanted to write to you to tell you what an incredible experience our wedding was. Everything was perfect and went without a hitch! We were very nervous about the whole thing prior to arriving in Europe. Not knowing you or anyone in Europe, and trusting that things would be handled, and that the area we chose was as beautiful as you said, seemed to good to be true. A little bit of our skepticism also came from all of the incredible recommendations you had. Again, it seemed too good to be true that all of these people had such perfect "fairy tale" weddings, and nothing negative to say! But now you can add us to that list!
We did have a perfect day! EVERYTHING went so smoothly and we would not have done anything differently. Before leaving the U.S., Laura (our wedding planner), e-mailed us several times to make sure we were not forgetting anything. She worked hard to plan and coordinate everything! Every question I had she answered right away, no matter how silly it might have been!
From the moment we arrived in Milan where we met Beatrice, we were feeling a little more at ease. She was extremely nice and helpful and told us that Lake Orta, where we chose to get married, was wonderful. We were getting excited and couldn't wait to go.
The next day we picked up the paperwork and headed to the lake. This process, (the paperwork) also went without any problems! We arrived in Lake Orta and went directly to our hotel. The lake was absolutely beautiful and the hotel the same. We toured around the lake and the neighboring towns. Later that day the florist called me and wanted to show me the flowers he planned to use in my bouquet, to make sure they were good enough for me. This was also special. He really took pride in his work and wanted to make sure that I was happy with the selection. They were beautiful flowers. From there, our wedding coordinator, Philippa Beggi took care of the rest. She picked up our paperwork from the hotel and hand delivered it herself to the town hall so they would be ready for our wedding the next day.
Our wedding day was the best! It was supposed to rain, (according to the reports), so I was not so happy knowing that most of our pictures would take place outside. But even the weather held out and it was a beautiful day! We met Philippa, the florist, and Giuseppe Godi, (the photographer) at our hotel. The bouquet of flowers was absolutely beautiful, and everyone was excited and anxious to begin. We took several pictures all around the beautiful hotel prior to the wedding. We went to the town hall where everything was set to go. The Major of Orta San Giulio, Angelo Bertola was wonderful. We were expecting it to be a very informal ceremony in this "governmental" building, such as a "Justice of the Peace" ceremony, in the U.S., but we were happily mistaken! The town hall was a beautiful 16th Century villa with a nice garden area in the back and on the beautiful lake. Mr. Bertola greeted us and asked us if we would like him to read some poetry at the end of the ceremony. He said that he liked to make it personal and that he has compiled several peoms together and translated them to the best of his ability. It was fantastic! Our wedding was very special. They lightly played music in the background, which was a nice added touch! The cermony was in Italian and then translated into English by Philippa, which was wonderful. Everything was just fantastic. A very special, unique experience that we will never forget. After the ceremony, Mr. Bertola gave us a beautiful book all about the history of Lake Orta. He wrote a lovely message inside and told us that he would love it if we would come back someday, which we will most definitely do! This too, made everything so special and personal!
After the ceremony, we took about two hours worth of pictures. This might sound like a chore, but Philippa and Giuseppe were a great team. They were funny and entertaining, and made us relaxed while taking pictures. The time flew by and it was a lot of fun, and best of all, we have the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen! Giuseppe has a real talent for photography. We really did not know what to expect from the pictures and were so excited to open them up and see beautiful artwork! Everyone is always critical of themselves in pictures, but I can honestly say that I love them, and they came out beautifully. I was also very impressed with how quickly Laura got them to us!
Everything about our entire wedding was perfect. We had no problems, and no regrets! We would do it all over again, and not change a thing. I cannot thank you enough for everything! Please feel free to use us as a reference!
Sincerely,
Amber and Mark Zaremskas
ANGELLE and JOE LICATA
Wedding in Italy - the Lake District
Everything was absolutely wonderful. It has been such a whirlwind since Joe and I returned that I haven't been able to express my utter delight with the services. We were, undoubtedly, frightful about the idea of sending monies without anything more than a contract, but Joe convinced me that we should just trust Rosanna and he was right. Eloping to the Lakes was the perfect, fairy tale wedding for us.
The photographer and coordinator were complete professionals. Of course Filippa was just a doll. She was incredibly helpful once we arrived and made every effort to make our wedding magical. Rosanna is very fortunate to have her. The photographer is such an enthusiastic photographer and is so very creative and we're very pleased with the photos. Our family and friends absolutely love them, especially the black and white.
You were an absolute Godsend. I don't know what we would have done if you were not so kind to answer our many questions. Also, the maps you sent were so helpful. It was such a relief to find them in the package just when Joe was about to have a panic attack on the Milan autobahn. Next time we won't rely on a travel agent to do the booking!
Best regards,
Angelle

Wedding in Lake District, Italy
Thanks for everything. All the hotels you booked at the last minute were wonderful. The wedding couldn't have been more perfect. I didn't dare dream about what it would be like but had I dreamed it would have been a dram come true. My hair and make-up looked outstanding. The hotel was beautiful and the reception meal was the best I had ever tasted. The ceremony was nice. The photographer was exceptional. I couldn't believe he had most of the pictures ready for me to take home. I was able to display them at our reception here the day after we got back and everyone is still talking about them. The pictures are just incredible and you don't get incredible pictures without an incredible photographer. I do have in mind to write thank you notes and will send them on to you to forward them to the right peopl. Simply said...the wedding was beyond my hopes and dreams. I was so glad we picked Lake Orta. It was exactly what we wanted. You and your company did a great job. |
